Lets just say that I've been restless in my thoughts lately. I feel like I'm at a turning point in my life. I could go in two different directions, two very different directions. In one direction lies a great, safe, logical path; while in the other direction lies everything my heart dreams of: adventure and uncertainty. I have a scholarship for school, a great job now and will have one after school. But I only think of escaping it all and living in Tanzania, where I've been invited. True, it is an open invitation and could definitely wait until after school. Which is what everyone is telling me to do. That I should just get my degree and then do whatever I want. This is SO hard for me to do. I am the most impatient person in the world. I want what I want when I want it. That sounds so bad when said out loud!
Everyday I get up and go to work, then the gym, then home. Or work, school, home. It's so routine! I hate routine! I'm so ready for a change I think I'm gonna burst!
Over the weekend I was at the beach and I got the urge to read James. I just opened it up and started reading James 5:7-20. As I was sitting there watching the moon over the water I read all about perseverance in suffering. Although I know that this isn't true suffering for most, it is for me. Just thinking that I won't go to Africa for at least 3 years makes me want to jump off a cliff.
I have to way the pros and cons, and though I know which one will win, it's my heart that loses. I know its not long compared to the rest of my life but, its seems extremely long to me from where I sit now.
The next morning while I took a long walk on the beach I had a chat with God. He gave me a peace about the situation that only He could. Although I still feel like I'm putting my heart on hold, I know it'll be worth it in the end.
So my overall view on the subject is this: Hebrews 12:1 " let us run with perseverence the race marked out for us." Reading the rest of that paragraph makes my current dilema seem meaningless.

School again

Well I've started school again. This last Sunday I was thinking about all the ways I've been blessed by God. I realized how blessed I truly am. Last weekend I had my best friend fly up from California for another friends wedding. At this wedding were tons of friends I met in Hawaii while doing a DTS in Hawaii with YWAM, most of them were on my team to India. I was so encouraged, uplifted and motivated by all of them. It seems that Jesus was sending a hug to me through all these friends.

On Friday I got a call from a great friend, Beth who said she had Tracey with her and they were wondering HY 217 trying to find the hospital I work at. I left work early and met them. After that we sped to airport to pick Jen up. While waiting for her to arrive I had a great chance to catch up with Tracy, whose in nursing school at UBC....Tracy you looked beautifull, as always. Your genuine love for Jesus is so evident in your life. ( I was very encouraged by you)

Then Jen finally got off the plane! We went to dinner at the Melting Pot and ate tons of Cheese and Chocolate fondue!!!! It was great! (Jen, can you dip the mint in chocolate??? heheheh)
After that we saw Miss Congeniality 2....which we decided should have been a renter.
After that we chatted for a while then Beth and Tracy drove back down to Salem.
Jen stayed with me, and we stayed up for a while catching up.

The next morning we got beautiful, and drove down to Salem for Marks wedding. As soon we got to the church is was raining super hard...we were so glad we did our hair and makeup! We walked into the church and saw all of our old buddies from Hawaii! Jason, you looked great in that Tux! We saw Jason, whose also getting married in May in Louisiana (I'm gonna try to go to that one too), we saw Phil whose now in charge of the Base in HI, we saw Daniel Parsons, Jake Fisher....I loved the mini mohawk you sported!, we saw Mike Watson, whose helped start a new church and is preaching!, We saw, of course Mark Smith. We also got to see Dave whose now touring with Kutless, Go Dave! It was so random that he was at my church! You guys all sounded awesome!

Seeing and catching up with all these people was truly a blessing. I really felt like Jesus was giving me hugs all weekend long. And the funny thing is, all these people were just being themselves. But they all LOVE Jesus and it shows. It was such an encouragement for me.
Thanks to all I was able to see this weekend. It was wonderfull, and I'm still on a bit of a high from it. I can't wait to see you all again. Hopefully soon.

I hope this is the right way!

Hello all!
So Friday night I went to an amazing concert with my dad. We saw Bob Dylan, my dads most favorite artist. The band that opened for him was Amos Lee. http://www.amoslee.com/
Everyone should visit his website and listen to his music, he's amazing! As soon as I got home from the concert I got online and bought his CD through my Apple Ipod.
He's playing in Vegas 3/19/05, I'm thinking about going.
